Imperium® Technology represents more than 18 months of research and development to rethink how our steel tanks are designed and built. This unique and original approach couples great design with a new modular construction method. This is where each tank is made to tighter tolerances, needs fewer welds, has improved corrosion resistance, standardised fittings and close adherence to British standards.

Protective Finish - Double coating of Zinfos: Your steel bunded oil tank is painted with 2 coats of our specially formulated anti-rust coating system designed to give maximum protection – Zinfos 340 WS (150μm WFT / 75μm DFT). We recommend painting your steel tank once a year to achieve the maximum lifespan.

Whilst our Zinfos paint is extremely robust, it is recommended that an alternative paint is used if the tank is to be located in a marine environment.

Standard paint colour finish is Holly Bush Green – RAL 14 C 39. A small tin of “touch-up” paint is included with your new tank for applying when scratches might occur during the installation process. If you want a different colour, choose one by referring to the RAL colour chart (this could add the lead time of up to 1 week).

Compliance: This tank complies with: Oil Pollution Prevention Guidelines (England & Wales) 2002 PPG2 and BS799 Pt5.

Removable Top Fittings Plate with:

• 2″ socket with aluminium fill point, drip cap & chain.
• 1.5″ socket for contents gauge.
• 1″ top socket with 1″ internal suction pipe for use as sludge & water drain.
• Spare 2″ socket.

Tank Top (Middle to Rear):

• Pitched roof design.
• Lifting eyes.
• 1.5″ bund socket for optional bund alarm probe.
• 2″ tank to bund vent.
• 2″ bund socket for bund to atmosphere vent c/w 2″ aluminium vent cap.

Front side of tank:

• 1″ bottom outlet

We recommend along with current regulations a base size which extends at least 300mm all the way around the tank
